2What size and type of photos or videos can I send?
Photos can be in JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG. Recommended size is 500px width and 700px height. They must be smaller than 5MB.


Videos must be less than one minute long and sent to an Alliance Forge Representative to be compressed.

3Does the universe file have to be a specific type?
The Universe data file must be in CSV format. If there are any special characters such as accent marks, hyphens, umlaut, etc. in the file, please make sure the file is saved in CSV UTF 8.
4What information do I need to have in the universe?
The only item in the universe that is needed for a send is the phone number. The phone number and area code must be combined under the same header.
5What is a segment size?
A segment is 160 characters that includes spaces and carriage returns.
6How many segments can I have in one message?
In your pricing structure, you are given one segment automatically. Extra segments of 160 characters are priced at $.0075 per extra segment. You can send as many as you would like, but the recommended amount is no more than three.
7What is the difference between SMS and MMS?
SMS is a plain text message. MMS is a text message that includes a graphic or video.
8What is 10 DLC Registration and how does it help?
10DLC stands for 10-digit long code, and it's a type of phone number businesses use to send text messages to customers. It is required that any campaign or business sending text messages must be registered.

- Improve delivery rates
- 10DLCs are pre-approved by mobile network operators, which can reduce the number of undelivered messages and the chance of being flagged as spam.
- Protect their reputation
- Businesses can avoid costly non-compliance penalties by adhering to carrier and regulatory guidelines.

9How fast can I get a text out?
Text messaging is a fast service. If you have all of your information ready, you can turn around a message in about 30 minutes or less.
10What information do I get from Reports?
Reports will tell you the success and delivery rate of your message. We also offer your response report and detailed phone carrier report.
11How long does it take for a text to send and be complete?
It depends on the size of the universe. Often it is completed within a few minutes once deployed. Larger universes can take longer.
12Do you have toll free or local numbers you send from?
We send from local numbers and clients can choose from area codes available in the state they are sending from.
13Can you guarantee response numbers?
We cannot guarantee responses.
14Can I add a URL in our text?
URLs can be put in the text message as a link or you can have unique URLs added into the message as long as it is in your universe file. Short links are not recommended at this time.
15Can I set custom responses?
We do not offer custom responses at this time in the client Amplify portal, but contact your representative today if you would like to discuss how we can help.
16How far in advance can I schedule a text?
You can schedule a text message as far in advance as you like.
17How fast do I get reports?
Reports are generally available approximately two hours after deployment of the message.
18How small or large can a Universe be?
We have no size limits at this time.
19How fast can I know if our message made it out?
We get delivery statuses approximately two hours after the deployment of a message.
20What happens if I need to cancel a message?
Please contact your Alliance Forge Representative to cancel it.
21Can I get reports with my Company logo on it instead of AFC?
Yes! Please send us your company logo and we will make sure they are added to your reporting and account.
22Can you send sample texts without the AFC admin message, unbranded?
Yes, we do offer unbranded proof messages.
23How many people need to approve a message to get it out?
Only one person needs to approve a message via the Amplify portal.
